About
A Re/Orientation.
Welcome to my site, where you’ll find most of my recent work. Some of it personal, some commercial. But mostly these days personal. I’ve been passionate about documenting subcultures and their subtle dynamics across various mediums. I’ve spent most of the past decade working in news and documentary storytelling, working for several news organisations, The National as a staff photographer, The Associated Press as a video journalist and Vice as a producer amongst others. I also co-founded Kerning Cultures, a podcast telling radio documentaries around the Middle East and its diaspora.
2020 shifted me deeply. The year completely made me reexamine my approach to life, and as a result transformed my ideas of work, creativity and the emotional motifs explored through the imagination. I fell in love with the process of film photography all over again, and spent several years after 2020 developing my own rolls and playing with film stock.
I’m open to commissions, portrait, editorial, commercial or otherwise.
In the summer of 2024, my partner, Rony Karkar and launched Stereo.
